Biography of the Minister of Agriculture Nizar Hani

The Dundor Nizar Hani was appointed Minister of Agriculture, and this is his autobiography:

Since 2010, he is currently the position of director of the Chouf Cedar Reserve. He works as an advisor to the Protected Zones Department of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Vision 2030 road map for protected areas).

– He holds a doctorate in agricultural and food sciences from the Holy Spirit University – Kaslik, with a very honorable degree with congratulations to the committee, and a master’s degree in the agricultural economy from the Lebanese University.

He had worked as an environmental specialist supervising the Chouf Reserve, the biological ocean in the Ministry of Environment between 2014 and 2020, and a professor in the colleges of agriculture at St. Joseph University and the Lebanese University.

In addition to his work, he was elected in the year 2021 the vice president of the International Committee for Protected Zones of the International Federation for the Protection of Nature of North Africa, Western Asia and the Middle East, and is a consultant in the natural world heritage of Lebanon delegate in UNESCO since 2023.

He holds the Michel Batis Award for UNESCO for Humans and the Biomasic Reserve, the Kenton Miller Award from the International Committee for Protected Regions of the International Federation for the Protection of Nature, and recently in the year 2021 Wissam Fares from the rank of Italian star a tolean appreciation from the Italian Republic.
