A message from Pope Francis to Aoun

The Pontifical Ambassador in Lebanon, Cardinal Paulo Borgia, conveyed a message from Pope Francis to President Joseph Aoun, in which he expressed his spiritual proximity to the Lebanese people, asking God to preserve him as a treasure for civilization and spiritual life, so that he is always a message of peace and harmony with diversity.

The Pope also stressed the importance of Lebanon as a witness to the values ​​of dialogue, reconciliation and brotherly solidarity, entrusted with the Lebanese people to the intercession of Mrs. Maryam.

For his part, President Aoun assured the Pontifical Ambassador that Lebanon is always in the heart of Pope Francis and its prayers, looking forward to a close meeting with his holiness.
