Details of the assassination of Haniyeh and thanks to Gallant. This is what he said


Former Israeli Minister of War, Yoav Gallant, revealed how the assassination of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, and the leader of Hezbollah Fouad Shukr on the same day.

He said in an interview with the Israeli Channel 12, that after the killing of the children in Majdal Shams as a result of missiles fired by Hezbollah, I told the Chief of Staff that we must liquidate thanks. In fact, we made the decision, and it could have occurred within days or even a week. Meanwhile, there was already an open window for Haniyeh’s assassination, meaning that we planned to filter it on the night of 30-31 July.


He added: I moved to the Mossad headquarters, I met the head of the agency, and we made together the recent briefing of the operators who were charged with the assassination of Haniyeh, and who were working in Tehran. During the briefing, I received a call via the military secretary, saying: We now have an opportunity to liquidate thanks. I turned to the Mossad president and his team and told them: Good luck, do what to do, indicating that on that day, we were also able to assassinate Haniyeh.

In response to a question, there was no hesitation in the two hours of carrying out a few hours, Gallant replied: There were always questions and discussions. But Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I, and the leaders of the security system were all agreed on this decision, stressing that the assassination of Haniyeh was using a bomb.

Gallant refused to disclose where the bomb was hidden, saying: There are details that you will need to read in my book.

He stressed that the United States did not reach these operations in advance, adding: After a short time, I received a call from the then US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, and asked me: What is going on here?
