Hezbollah was defeated militarily and we hope that its influence ends in Lebanon

The deputy special envoy of the Middle East, Morgan Ortges, said that Israel defeated Hezbollah and we are grateful to it because of this, stressing the issue of Hezbollah’s lack of participation in the new Lebanese government in any way.

After meeting with the President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun at Baabda Palace, Ortges added: I saw great enthusiasm from the Lebanese community in America about the future of Lebanon.

She emphasized that America is committed to the existing partnership and friendship with the new government in Lebanon and we have great hopes for the development of relations, adding: We hope that Hezbollah’s influence in Lebanon ends.

Ortags continued: I am never afraid of Hezbollah, nor I was afraid of it, and it has been defeated militarily and will not be able to terrorize Lebanese society again.

Ortagus stressed America’s commitment to Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanon on the 18th of this month.
