During weeks, this is what Egypt got from the IMF

International Monetary Fund spokeswoman Julie Cosak said that the Fund’s Executive Council will discuss during the coming weeks the disbursement of the fourth segment of Egypt’s loan of $ 1.2 billion after the approval of the review

Cosak said, during a press conference today, Thursday, that the fund is currently working on the completion of some items related to the fourth review to approve the approval of the segment.

The fund mission conducted its fourth review with the Egyptian government last December, and announced that an agreement was reached at the level of experts with the government within the framework of the loan of 8 billion dollars to support Egyptian economic reforms.

The Fund team agreed with the Egyptian authorities to reset the path of financial unification, in light of local economic challenges and external pressures,

On regional developments and its impact on the Egyptian economy, Cosak said that there is no connection between the situation in the Gaza Strip adjacent to Egypt and its economic program.

Kozak explained that the amendment to the program aims to provide a financial space to support basic social programs, which serve the most vulnerable groups and the middle class while ensuring the sustainability of the debt.

In terms of reforms, she indicated that the priorities include reducing inflation, maintaining the flexibility of the exchange rate, and freeing access to foreign exchange. (Russia today)
