The Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al -Raei hoped today, Thursday, that “the birth of the government today or tomorrow, and this government must give it our confidence.”

In front of the delegation of Jounieh merchants, the shepherd added, “Lebanon is entering a new life supported by the international community, and we have a great confidence in the President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, and the Prime Minister designated Nawaf Salam to save the country economically, which enhances the lack of migration of youth.”

While attempts to form the new government in Lebanon still have been going on for nearly 3 weeks, the signs of Amal were revealed, as the sources said that “the government will see the light soon.”

Three weeks ago, the Prime Minister in charge continues his efforts to form a new government in the country, after Aoun was elected as president, in a move that came to the impact of external pressure, especially from the United States.

The next government is awaiting major challenges, most notably the reconstruction and the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, which stipulated that Israel withdraws from the areas it entered into the south and adhere to the UN Security Council Resolution 1701 issued in the year 2006, whose items are a distance from Hezbollah from the border, and the disarmament of all armed groups In Lebanon and restricted it to the legitimate forces and not others.

It is noteworthy that Salam, who was the president of the International Court of Justice, was nominated on January 13 to form the new government, after Aoun was elected president of the country.
