Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albaris announced today, Thursday, his rejection of Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz regarding Spain’s reception of Palestinians in the event of their displacement from Gaza.

“The land of Gaza is Gaza … and Gaza must be part of the Palestinian state in the future,” Albaris said in an interview with the Spanish Radio RD station.

This comes a day after the Spanish Foreign Minister rejected US President Donald Trump’s proposal to resettle Gaza residents elsewhere and control the Strip to create “Rvira Middle East”.

“I want to be very clear in this regard, Gaza is the land of the Palestinians, the residents of Gaza and they must remain in it,” Jose Manuel Albaris told reporters on Wednesday.

He added, “Gaza is part of the future Palestinian state supported by Spain and must coexist in a way that guarantees the prosperity and security of the State of Israel.”

Katz said that Spain, Ireland and Norway, which confessed last year to the Palestinian state, “are legally obligated to allow any resident in Gaza to enter its territory.” (Sky News)
