The decision issued by the judge, Deborah Burdman, is the second regarding the matter announced by Trump on the first day of his presidency, which had wide reactions.

In its decision, Burdman said: “The deprivation of the valuable right to citizenship would cause irreparable harm … If the court does not prevent the executive order, the children who are subject to the matter will be deprived of the rights and advantages of American citizenship and their parents will face instability.”

Burdamman explained that Trump’s decision “contradicts the clear language of the fourteenth modification … and contradicts the history of our nation that extends for 250 years that gives citizenship to birth.” (Free)
