The Patriarch of the Syriac Catholics congratulated the Antioch, Mar Ignatius, Youssef III, in a book, the new president of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed Al -Shara.

He said: It is good for us to write to you to congratulate you with your inauguration as President of the Syrian Arab Republic in this articulated stage in the history of dear Syria.

He added: The responsibilities of your shoulders are huge, and it requires wrapping all components of the country around you to advance it, to return to a prosperity that keeps pace with the evolution. He returns to him from his abandonment from his sons, especially the young groups, which are the bright tomorrow and the promising future.

He continued: From here, we assure you that the authentic and founding Christian component in this country since its establishment, in the fullest preparation, with its abundance of energies at various levels, in order to support you and all of your aides in this historical stage, so we build together the new Syria, which is distinguished by the diversity of its components and spectra. We are fully confident that you will do your best to involve everyone in building the precious future of Syria.

Patriarch Yunnan concluded: We renew the heartfelt congratulations and wishes, in our personal name, and in the name of all bishops, priests and believers in our Syriac Catholic Church everywhere, especially in the name of our bishops, priests and believers in our four -division in Syria: Damascus, Homs, Hama, Nabik, Aleppo, Hasaka, Qamishli and the rest of the Syrian island, We ask God Almighty, the Exalted, the Majestic, to fill your steps for the good and present of Syria.
