The Episcopal Committee for the Islamic Christian Dialogue, emanating from the Catholic Patriarch and Bishops in Lebanon, announced in a statement on the occasion of the humanitarian feast, that on February 4, the Holy See celebrates the International Day of the Humanitarian Brotherhood, which was approved by the United Nations in 2020.








This day is related to the humanitarian brotherhood document signed by Pope Francis and Sheikh Al -Azhar Ahmed Al -Tayyib in Abu Dhabi on February 4, 2019, which calls for global peace and living together.

The statement pointed out that this important document, in the context of the International Day of Humanitarian Brotherhood, is a special message for our homeland, Lebanon, which today testifies to the birth of a new presidential era, and it is an affirmation of the importance of dialogue, solidarity and peace in a country that goes through political and security tensions that were very dangerous in the last three months, It is not without religious and economic unrest.

He added: As highlighted the human brother, the committee called on all Lebanese, despite their sectarian and political differences, to live together in harmony based on mutual respect, justice and cooperation, encouraging various religious and political societies on the homeland, to work together to overcome the current social and economic challenges in the spirit The humanitarian brotherhood document that would enhance peaceful coexistence and respect for human rights, which are basic values ​​that guarantee Lebanon its stability, in accordance with the spirit of this day.

The Chairman of the Committee called on Bishop Charles Murad and members to work together in a spirit of solidarity to build a better world in the context of multiple cultures, but one humanity, and that our common humanity be bridges that we build between religions.
