Qatar has always been alongside Lebanon and we look forward to resuming excavations soon

During the meeting, President Aoun said: Qatar, alongside Lebanon, has always been supportive of the Lebanese in difficult times. We look forward to the return of the Qatari brothers to Lebanon.

He added: We highly appreciate the Qatari role in supporting the economy of Lebanon, especially in the oil and gas sector, and we look forward to resuming excavations soon in cooperation with Total.

For his part, the Prime Minister of Qatar, Muhammad Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, stressed the commitment of his state to support the military establishment, stressing the importance of commitment to the ceasefire agreement, the withdrawal of the Israeli army from southern Lebanon and the implementation of Resolution 1701.

He added: We are continuing to support the Lebanese people, and we look at the continued formation of the government and work with it.

He pointed out that there is no doubt that Qatar will be present in reconstruction and this file will be discussed after the formation of the government and will work on joint projects between the two countries.
