The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Badr Abdel -Ati, stressed the need for the Palestinian people to remain in their land and respect their right to self -determination.

This came in a telephone conversation made by Minister Abdel Ati with Kaya Calass, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union on Sunday evening in the context of the continuous consultation and coordination between Egypt and the European Union, according to the Foreign Ministry spokesman Tamim Khalaf.


The spokesman stated, in a press statement today, Monday, that Minister Abdel Ati praised the distinguished relations between Egypt and the European Union and the mutual keenness to implement the axes of the strategic and comprehensive partnership between Egypt and the European Union, expressing his aspiration to continue the supreme actress to support the partnership in order to achieve the common interests of the two sides, and pass the second tranche From the financial package of four billion euros.

Minister Abdel Ati reviewed the tireless efforts made by Egypt to achieve security and stability in the region in light of the serious geopolitical challenges in the region, and Minister Abdel -Ati, the European official, reviewed the latest developments in the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of sustaining the agreement, installing it and implementing its three stages.

The spokesman added that Minister Abdel -Ati also stressed the importance of ensuring the enforcement of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip at an extensive and accelerating pace in a way that meets the needs of the residents of the Strip in light of the catastrophic humanitarian conditions that he suffers from.

Minister Abdel -Ati called on the European official to continue to support the humanitarian effort from the European Union for the Gaza Strip by doubling humanitarian and relief aid, as well as cooperation to start projects and programs for early recovery and reconstruction, and in a way that ensures that the Palestinians remain on their land in the sector.
