In his article, Zamir presented major principles to develop an effective strategy to confront Iran in the region.

Among the most prominent points discussed by Zamir is the necessity of adopting a “regular approach” in the conflict with Iran, which includes building regional alliances against the Iranian axis, and promoting deterrence through long -term teamwork. He considered that influential steps should be taken against the Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces as the main factor on which the Iranian regime depends on achieving its goals.

Direct and flexible deterrence

Among the measures proposed by Zamir was the necessity of adopting the concept of “direct and flexible deterrence”, as he pointed out the importance of restricting Iran’s ability to practice indirect activities through its agents. He also stressed the importance of promoting deterrence by carrying out direct actions against Iran.

“Strategic Difference”

He also recommended a “strategic differentiation” between Iran and its agents in various regions, with the necessity of besieging these agents, isolating and weakening them through their targeted strikes, as well as motivating them to negotiate to stop their activities.

War and regional expansion

Zamir added that confronting Iran requires expanding the concept of “war between wars” to include regional actions aimed at weakening Iran and its allies through low -cost operations below the threshold of traditional war, while preserving the “denial space” to avoid direct escalation. He also stressed the importance of continuous pressure on the Iranian regime away from negotiations related to the nuclear program.

Cultural and ideological campaign

Zamir stressed the importance of leading a cultural and ideological campaign in the region, aiming to win the “hearts” of different sects and peoples.

Responding to Iranian attacks

With regard to Iranian attacks through its agents, Zemir suggested that the response be proportional and direct.

Through these proposals, Zamir believes that the proposed strategy will put Iran in front of a real dilemma and contribute to creating an effective deterrent, as it will make the Iranian regime realize that any escalation or attack will face a proportional response that greatly affects its interests, which enhances the opportunities to achieve security and stability in the region .
