The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the start of talks on the second stage of the armistice, on Monday, in Washington.

“The Prime Minister spoke this evening with the US President’s special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkov,” the Netanyahu office said in a statement. The two agreed that negotiations on the second stage of the hostage deal will start when they meet in Washington next Monday.

The statement drew attention to Witkov, he will speak later with the Prime Minister of Qatar and Egyptian officials.
