France will mobilize international support for the army and we will not back down from supporting Lebanon

French President Emmanuel Macron said that France will mobilize international support for the Lebanese army to implement what was agreed upon in the ceasefire agreement.

Macron confirmed, during his statement at the conclusion of his visit to Lebanon, today, Friday, that Lebanon will be sovereign, united and prosperous, declaring that his country will not back down from supporting Lebanon.

Macron stated that those displaced due to the Israeli bombing of Lebanon are living in difficult conditions, explaining that France struggled diplomatically to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon, and continued: The withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon must happen and Lebanon must control the borders through the army, which must monopolize carrying Weapons in Lebanon.

Regarding the new government, Macron said that he is confident that the coming days will bring the formation of an effective Lebanese government, revealing that Air France will soon reorganize its flights to and from Lebanon.

Regarding the Beirut port bombing file and the investigations related to it, Macron stressed that there must be transparency in the issue of the victims of the port explosion.
