America will impose sanctions on Al-Burhan
A few hours after he confirmed that the war in his country would not stop except under certain conditions, three informed sources reported that the United States would impose sanctions on the President of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council and Army Commander, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, today, Thursday.
One of them, a diplomat, added that the reason for this step was the Sudanese Armed Forces’ targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure, according to his words.
He also added that preventing aid from arriving, as well as refusing to participate in peace talks last year, are also reasons. (Arabic)
