Consolidating state sovereignty and restricting weapons are the gateway to all other reforms, and partnership is the title

The head of the Lebanese Phalange Party, MP Sami Gemayel, confirmed that the priorities of the next phase include ensuring respect for the ceasefire agreement, which includes the exclusivity of weapons and state sovereignty over all Lebanese territory, starting with Palestinian weapons outside the camps and inside the camps, all the way to the weapons of Hezbollah and all groups.

He explained that this is the first step in the path of reform, and that establishing state sovereignty and restricting weapons is the gateway to all other reforms.
Gemayel stressed that the Phalange refuses to settle scores or give up the basic principles on which the state is based, stressing openness to everyone and joint work to rebuild the country in a spirit of cooperation and understanding, noting that restoring balance to political life is a pivotal point in the next stage, stressing that partnership Equality in state administration is the basis, which the Phalange will not give up.

Gemayel continued by saying: No one can impose on the other what he wants in everything and at all times, and this approach includes emphasizing the need for all Lebanese to be partners in rebuilding the state, indicating that no one bears responsibility alone in this context.

The Phalange President’s words came during the process of handing over the presidency of the Student and Youth Administration between Elias Semaan and Nadim Karam, in the presence of a number of party officials and current and former staff from the administration.

The head of the battalions began his speech by praising the work of the students’ interests and emphasizing the importance of this party unit, from which members graduate experienced in leadership and possessing clear positions. He explained that it is in the students’ interest that all party leaders emerge.
Gemayel congratulated the former head of the department, Elias Semaan, who assumed his duties in the most difficult circumstances, cooperating with all comrades to cope with a period full of challenges. He expressed his thanks, on his own behalf and on behalf of the party, for all the efforts made during that period.
How he wished success to Nadeem Karam, who assumed the task in an ancient party whose history extends back 89 years, an institution whose leadership has been led by seven presidents, and which still continues thanks to democratic practices that include elections held every four years to choose the leadership. He pointed out that this democratic approach is considered a rare performance among other parties.
The head of the battalions called on the student interest to be the engine that pushes the party towards reproducing itself and developing its performance in a way that is compatible with the requirements of the times and serves the interest of the country.

The Phalange leader stressed that the next stage requires important reforms in many sectors such as education, health, and industry, in addition to economic and financial reforms aimed at building a strong and sustainable economy that guarantees Lebanese youth job opportunities inside the country, instead of having to search for opportunities abroad. He added: We are ready in sectors such as education, health, industry, agriculture and finance. We have our ideas, projects and plans to rebuild the state.

Gemayel added: Our goal is to live with our freedom and dignity in our country, stressing that the party seeks to build a strong state capable of securing a better future for future generations. He also pointed out that the next stage will be about rebuilding the state on solid foundations, with the need to focus on major reforms in the field of decentralization, as well as in laws and the economy.
The handing over ceremony began with a speech by the former President of the Student Affairs, Elias Semaan, who named all the comrades who worked with him and from all Lebanese regions, and he made sure to name them one by one. He also paid tribute to the spirit of the two comrades Elie Yahshoushi and Jean Haddad. He concluded by thanking the head of the party who gave him this opportunity to lead a historical department that produced leaders who changed many equations in the country. Semaan stressed that in every activity we carried out, our martyrs were the compass and the will, from Kafr Abida to the Chouf, the South, Ain Rummaneh, Achrafieh, Zahle, Keserwan and Zahle. He also recalled the situation that took place in Lebanon two years ago, especially since the occupation had penetrated the minds and souls until people lost hope, until the decision to confront was made through a loud speech, and the positive shock was through sending the clear message that we are the backbone of this society, and the work began and we proved our presence on the ground in most of the… Lebanese regions.
Semaan pointed to the lessons we took during this period, stressing the refusal to cancel us under any name, and the interest of students has proven its existence and existence in all universities, and we refuse to be affiliated with anyone else. Semaan concluded by thanking the girls of the department who carried out the most beautiful and elegant activities and called on the students to complete the march alongside Comrade Nadim Karam, the new head of the department.

In turn, the new president, Nadim Karam, thanked the former president for his efforts and stressed that our goal is national and has been for 89 years. We have not missed the compass. We have gone through all the national milestones. We have given existence value and meaning to life. We have been baptized with the font of heroism and wiped our foreheads with valuable chrism.
Karam recalled the first baptism into the resistance of the PJ and Al-Bashir, the resistance of the stubborn, and the preservation of the state entity, leading to the resistance, leading to the Cedar Revolution with Sheikh Pierre Gemayel, and without forgetting the student resistance that broke the occupation, passing through the parliamentary resistance, where we became the only party outside the state when the state became non-existent. legitimacy.
Karam stressed steadfastness, recalling the demand for the history book, the slogan of the republic, the sixtieth law, the demonstrations of the series of ranks and salaries, and others. He also touched on the port explosion, where the interest paid its best youth.
In addition, Karam pointed out that what is required of us today is to organize, close ranks, and win in every Lebanese region, and we must be the spearhead in schools and universities and bear our historical responsibility to move our society from frustration to a youth force that is equal to the past and the future, to develop our public schools, so that we may remain on this land and from here. Our slogan was born: If God is with us, who can be against us? Today I tell you with strength and stability that are complementary and present in a struggle without limits.
