Israeli violations continue… artillery shelling of Kafr Shuba and an incursion towards Maroun al-Ras
This afternoon, the Burj Matlin area on the northern outskirts of the town of Kfar Shuba was subjected to intermittent Israeli artillery shelling, accompanied by sweeping operations with heavy machine guns that targeted the town’s neighborhoods, originating from Israeli army positions in the overlooking hills.
There was also an incursion of an Israeli mechanized force from the town of Yaron towards the town of Maroun al-Ras, while Israeli army bulldozers continued to bulldoze the Yaron Forest for the fourth day in a row.
At the same time, a Lebanese army force, accompanied by a military bulldozer, entered the town of Aitaroun to reopen the road that was closed by Israeli forces yesterday.
