Some people’s voices are tasteless
An opposition parliamentary source said that the large number of parliamentary votes that named the president-designate, Judge Nawaf Salam, had no taste or color, because they rode the wave on Monday afternoon. A large number of single and independent representatives, and even small blocs, had issued statements specifying their options for parliamentary consultations a day before. The date, and Salam was not among the names that came in their statements, but at approximately eleven o’clock before noon on Monday, news began to spread that the large blocs that had not yet decided on the name were heading to name the Nawaf Salam to form the government, then they turned towards this path and named Salam to form.
The source pointed out that representatives of one of the parties asked journalists upon their arrival to the palace: How many have there been and has it been decided? When the answer came to them, they named President Salam.
The source concluded by saying: There is no credit for anyone in assigning those who pushed for this option, so what if they changed their minds at the last minute?
