Between Jounieh and Al-Beddawi.. a gang of minors was arrested on charges of theft


The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces announced that there had recently been robberies by means of breakage and dislocation, from inside commercial stores within the Mount Lebanon and North Governorates, by unknown persons, the most recent of which was in Dbayeh, where an unknown gang of individuals carried out, on January 8, 2025, an operation. An amount of $1,800 was stolen from a store.

As a result, the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces began their field and technical procedures to identify and arrest those involved. As a result of the follow-up and the intersection of information in all the places that were robbed, the Information Division found that the same gang carried out all the theft operations in the aforementioned areas.

As a result of extensive surveys and investigations, the Division was able to identify the gang members, and it turned out that all of them were minors. It was also able to determine the whereabouts of a number of them, who are:

On January 8, 2025, after careful monitoring and control, patrols from the division carried out simultaneous raids and ambushes, which resulted in the arrest of the first and second in Jounieh, and the others in Beddawi.

By interrogating them, they confessed to what was attributed to them in that they, in conjunction with others, carried out dozens of thefts from inside commercial stores in the areas of Mount Lebanon and the north, at night and by breaking and dislodging, and from these areas: Al-Aqiba, Dbayeh, Jounieh, Jal El Dib, Tripoli, and Abi Samra. , Al-Beddawi and Al-Tall. They admitted to dividing the stolen goods among themselves.

The legal requirements were carried out against them, and they were submitted to the relevant authority, in accordance with the advice of the competent judiciary, and work continues to arrest the rest of those involved.
