The Lebanese national team deservedly qualifies for the FIBA Asia Cup finals!
The Lebanese basketball national team secured its qualification to the Asian Cup finals, after its great victory over its Syrian counterpart, with a score of 89-64, in the match that was held in Group Six – the second window, at the Shabab Al-Ahli Club Stadium in Al Mamzar Hall in Dubai.
The Lebanese team excelled in all quarters, as the results were as follows:
- First quarter: (33-16)
- Second quarter: (14-18)
- Third quarter: (18-14)
- Fourth quarter: (24-16)
The sixth group includes the teams of Lebanon, Syria, the Emirates, and Bahrain, and with this victory, the “Cedars” team continues its brilliance by achieving 4 consecutive victories without any defeat, to rise to the top of its group with all due respect.
In a historical overview, the Lebanese national team achieved distinguished achievements in the Asian Nations Championship, where it reached the podium 4 times, and finished as runner-up in the years 2001, 2005, 2007, and 2022.
