We nominate Nawaf Salam to head the government

Member of the “Democratic Gathering” bloc, MP Marwan Hamadeh, announced in an interview with “Free Lebanon” that “the election of President Joseph Aoun came based on his successful experience in leading the army in the difficult recent years that Lebanon experienced,” considering that “the biggest loser in this election was MP Gebran Bassil and Hezbollah’s dominance over the country, not the Shiite community or even the party’s fans.”

Hamadeh stressed that “the axis of resistance no longer dominates Lebanon, just as it no longer has the decision to decide on the issue of war and peace, and it caught up with them before the election session,” noting that “the Shiite duo were forced to elect President Aoun due to several internal and external factors, most notably what they were exposed to in The recent war with Israel, and also because of the fall of the Syrian regime, and the election of US President Donald Trump.”

He believed that “what was stated in the oath speech about restricting weapons to the army and legitimacy alone is tantamount to a final deletion of the phrase army, people, and resistance in a polite manner,” calling on Hezbollah, “which distorted the image of the resistance, to completely abandon its weapons, as other Christian and Islamic parties did after the Taif Agreement.” He stressed that “any official Iranian words regarding Lebanon have no effect from today onwards, and the words of Sheikh Naim Qassem are boring and have no impact or weight on the ground.”

Regarding the form of the new government, he explained that it “must be less partisan and there should be a separation between the ministry and the prosecution,” hoping that President Aoun “does not return the same type of ministers currently in place to the new government,” nominating Nawaf Salam to head it given the new prospects in Lebanon and the East. Middle.
