Lebanon and the international community are responsible for obliging the enemy to ceasefire

Representative Ibrahim Al-Moussawi confirmed that there are guarantor bodies that supervised the ceasefire agreement, noting that the international community and the Lebanese state bear the responsibility of forcing the Israeli enemy to adhere to the agreement.

Al-Moussawi added in a statement to LBCI channel that this period represents a test for the international community, stressing that Israel is considered an enemy occupying parts of Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Egypt and Jordan, and that Israeli ambitions have always surrounded Lebanon since its independence.

Regarding the army, Al-Moussawi stressed that the Lebanese state has never declared that the army cannot fill the void, pointing out that the problem lies in the absence of a real decision by the Lebanese state to respond to the enemy.

Al-Moussawi also added that the right to self-defense is a legitimate right, stressing that if the Lebanese state had been strong, the steps that were taken would not have been taken. He explained that the issue of weapons in Lebanon is left to dialogue between the parties concerned.

Al-Moussawi touched on the right to present the figures they deem appropriate at this stage, stressing that there are basic issues that must be taken into consideration in Lebanon’s political future.

At the conclusion of his speech, Al-Moussawi indicated that President Joseph Aoun’s speech represented intentions, stressing that Lebanon is facing a new phase and matters must be dealt with in a positive spirit.
