The Israeli army announces the discovery of the body of a hostage in the Gaza Strip
On Wednesday, the Israeli army and the Internal Security Service (Shin Bet) announced that they had recovered the body of hostage Yousef Zayadna and recovered it from an underground tunnel in the Rafah area of Gaza, and returned it to Israel.
The army statement explained that items related to Youssef’s son, Hamza Zayadna, who was also kidnapped on October 7, were found, raising concern about his fate.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced on Wednesday the recovery of the bodies of two hostages who had been held in the Gaza Strip since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

Israeli media said that Yousef Al-Zayadna (53 years old) was kidnapped on October 7, 2023, along with his children, Hamza, Bilal, and Aisha.
She confirmed that Bilal and Aisha were released after 55 days of detention as part of the first truce deal between Israel and Hamas.
