Two masses commemorating the fortieth anniversary of the adjutant martyr Antoine Hanna and the martyr Fadl Assaf in Tyre

The Maronite Diocese of Tyre, in the Church of Our Lady of the Seas, commemorated the fortieth anniversary of the army martyr, Adjutant Antoine Hanna Kayal, who was martyred in the Israeli aggression against Tyre. A celebratory mass was held for the repose of his soul, presided over by the parish pastor, Bishop Charbel Abdullah, assisted by Father Yacoub Saab, with the participation of the Greek Orthodox parish priest of Tyre, Father Nicolas Basil, and the parish priest of the Latin community, Father Tawfiq Abu Merhi, and in the presence of the family of the martyr Kayal, the people of the city, and activists.

Abdullah delivered a speech in which he began by offering condolences to the family of the deceased and to the military institution, and said: The martyr Antoine paid the highest price for paving the way towards God, so today we offer the sacrifice as we stand before the Lord so that Antoine will be in all the squares standing before Jesus Christ.

The brother of the late Milad Kayal gave a speech in which he thanked everyone on behalf of the family, and said: My brother, you will always be remembered through prayer and faith, and there is eternal life, for we are children of the Resurrection.

The Greek Melkite Catholic parish in the Cathedral of St. Thomas the Apostle also celebrated the fortieth anniversary of the martyrdom of the parishioner, the martyr Fadl Assaf, who was with Adjutant Kayal during the raid on Tyre, where he celebrated the sacrifice for his repose, Metropolitan George Iskandar, assisted by Iconomos Bechara Katoura, in the presence of a crowd of parishioners.
