After the Holy Gospel, the shepherd delivered a sermon entitled: Forgive us our sins and give us your peace, in which he said: Four days separate us from the ninth of this month, the day the Parliament meets to elect a President of the Republic who will gain the trust of the citizens and the trust of the international community, work on national reconciliation, consolidate internal unity, and cultivate Hope in the hearts and peace in the souls, and it derives its ideas and principles from the Great and Holy Jubilee Year, and from the World Day of Peace.

He concluded: Let us pray together, beloved brothers and sisters, for these intentions, and for the intention of the parliamentary blocs, for the success of their consultations on the personality of such a president. To God be all glory and thanks, now and forever, Amen.
