On the other hand, suicide cases among soldiers have emerged as an increasing phenomenon. During the year 2023, 27 suicide cases were recorded, including 6 reserve forces, while 2024 witnessed the recording of 21 cases, including 12 reserve forces.
In the face of these increasing numbers, the Israeli army launched initiatives to provide psychological support to soldiers, including the establishment of specialized mental health centers with the aim of addressing the psychological repercussions faced by soldiers and reducing the spread of suicides.
