Lahoud followed the conditions of the poultry sector and its industry


The Director General of Agriculture, Engineer Louis Lahoud, held a meeting to follow up on the poultry sector and its industry in the Ministry of Agriculture, with the participation of a joint delegation from the Lebanese Union of Poultry and Poultry Manufacturers, headed by Captain William Boutros and representatives of poultry producers and manufacturers in Lebanon, in the presence of the Director of Livestock, Elias Ibrahim, Head of the Export and Import Control Service. Veterinary Quarantine Yahya Khattar, Head of the Veterinary Quarantine Department Akram Wehbe and Head of the Poultry Breeding Department Abeer Sirwan. The measures taken by the Ministry to protect national poultry production were discussed.

During the meeting, Lahoud stressed, “The Minister of Agriculture in the caretaker government, Abbas Al-Haj Hassan, was keen to protect and develop the poultry sector,” and praised “the poultry producers and their investment and sacrifices despite the crises that Lebanon is experiencing,” and stressed “all necessary efforts will be made by the ministry to support the poultry sector.” “.

For his part, Boutros thanked Minister Hajj Hassan Lahoud and the ministry’s work team for “the fruitful meeting and for their efforts over the years and their support for the poultry sector, which contributed to a significant reduction in imported poultry factories, which constituted an incentive for the development and protection of the poultry sector in Lebanon,” and he hoped to “continue this approach, which will It guarantees the protection of the sector,” and praised “the letters sent by the Minister of Agriculture to the relevant ministries and agencies to control smuggling and protect national production.”
