A shocking number of Israeli raids on Gaza in December
The Israeli army announced on Wednesday that it carried out more than 1,400 air strikes on targets in Gaza during the month of December alone, at a rate of 45 raids per day.
The army explained in a statement that the attacks were carried out by fighter jets, helicopters and drones, based on information provided by ground forces.
The statement indicated that the targets included Hamas fighters and its allies, tunnels, observation and sniper sites, and weapons depots.
Israel faces international criticism due to the large number of Palestinian civilian casualties resulting from these attacks. (Sky News)
