Sudanese forces call for stopping the war and forming an interim non-partisan government

On Monday, during meetings in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, Sudanese political and civil forces called for an end to the war, facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, and forming a “temporary, non-partisan” caretaker government.
This came in the final statement of meetings that concluded in the Ethiopian capital on Monday, with the participation of 14 Sudanese entities and parties, most notably the “Freedom and Change – Democratic Bloc” (political parties and armed movements).

On Wednesday, Addis Ababa meetings were launched to discuss the political process in Sudan under the auspices of the African Union.
The statement said: “We affirm that the top priority is to immediately stop the war within the framework of affirming the sovereignty of the Sudanese state, the unity of its structures and people, and its full responsibility for the homeland, and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid urgently and without hindrance.”
The statement stressed the “importance of adhering to the implementation of the Saudi Jeddah Agreement.” (Anadolu)
