Netanyahu agrees to resume the Doha and Cairo negotiations

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said on Friday that Benjamin Netanyahu had agreed to allow two delegations from Mossad and Shin Bet to travel to the Qatari and Egyptian capitals, Doha and Cairo, to discuss the resumption of truce negotiations.

The decision comes a few hours after the Israeli cabinet, headed by Netanyahu, held a small meeting to discuss developments in the Gaza war and the exchange deal with Hamas.

The two sides exchanged accusations of faltering past negotiations through mediators in Doha, regarding approving a truce and exchanging hostages held in Gaza for Palestinian detainees in Israel.

Qatar had previously confirmed that talks between Hamas and Israel were still continuing. (Sky News Arabia)
