Nasser Al -Din discussed a delegation from the World Bank to complete joint projects


The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nasser Al -Din, received in his office in the ministry, a delegation from the World Bank that included the regional director for human development in the Middle East and North Africa region, Fadia Saadeh and the official of social affairs and the development of human capabilities for the Middle East region Raja Bin Tawit Qattan.

The continued cooperation was emphasized, as the research dealt with the completion of joint projects that are being implemented, especially the primary health care projects that target the poverty families and the rehabilitation of government hospitals.

Minister Nasser Al -Din affirmed, “The interest that the ministry pays to these two projects, as they contribute to securing health care for citizens on the one hand and developing the health sector on the other hand.” He pointed to “the serious endeavor to accelerate their achievement with the available capabilities, in addition to implementing all joint projects with the World Bank that contribute to the development and development of the health system.”

In turn, the representative of the World Bank confirmed, “The bank stands alongside Lebanon and the Ministry of Public Health and the willingness to accelerate the executive procedures to achieve the public interest.”

On the other hand, the Minister of Public Health Dr. Rakan Nasser Al -Din signed with the Acting UNICEF representative in Lebanon Akilo on the annual plan for bilateral cooperation and its projects in the health field, most notably the promotion of primary health care, the immunization program, the support of newborns in government hospitals, school health, mental health and social protection.
