Trump: Direct talks with Iran are supposed to start on Saturday

US President Donald Trump revealed on Monday that the United States is in direct talks with Iran next Saturday.

“We prefer to reach a nuclear agreement, and we hold direct talks with Iran in this regard that start on Saturday,” Trump said in a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“We communicate with Iran without intermediaries and directly,” Trump added, adding: “reaching an agreement is the best solution instead of resorting to another option I do not want and I hope that the discussions with Iran will be successful.”

Regarding Gaza, Trump said: “The war in Gaza will stop and I want the war to end, and I am seeking to solve the hostage and the process of the process and has long long.”

He also pointed out that the military campaign against the Houthi group in Yemen “has weakened the capabilities of the Houthis and prevented them from launching attacks on navigation.”

Trump stressed: “We have caused severe damage to the Houthis and we will work to eliminate their leaders, expertise and complex micro -missiles that they make, and we hit their origins and strongholds under the ground and we will not stop until they announce their stopping of American ships, and Iran must stop supporting Houthi.”

Regarding China, the US President pointed out that “China imposed additional customs duties on the United States and if it does not remove these fees, we will impose 50 percent fees on China.”

He considered that “China has gathered its wealth at our expense and raised billions of dollars, we will talk to China and a number of countries and if we reach fair agreements to the United States, it will be positive things.”

He stressed that Washington wants “countries to open markets to the United States, including China, which is pursuing the closed market policy.”
