Netanyahu arrives in the White House to hold talks on Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the White House on Monday for talks with US President Donald Trump on customs duties and war in the Gaza Strip.

Prior to this, the White House announced the cancellation of the joint press conference that was scheduled after their meeting, without giving any reasons.

Netanyahu had arrived in Washington, on Sunday, where Trump met to discuss two main files, the Gaza war and customs fees.

Netanyahu said he hoped that Trump will reduce the customs duties imposed on Israel, when he meets with him in Washington this week.

Under the comprehensive new customs duties policy announced by Trump, Israeli goods are imposed on 17 percent.

Netanyahu said in a statement that “the talks will address the issue of the Israeli hostages who have been held in Gaza for 18 months, achieve victory in Gaza, and the customs duties system for Israel,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
