The Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salama, received in his office at the National Library – Al -Sanayeh, the Brazilian Ambassador to Lebanon, Tarisisio Costa, accompanied by the official of the cultural department at the embassy, ​​Rablo Romero, on a courtesy visit during which they discussed bilateral relations and activated cooperation between Lebanon and Brazil, where “a Lebanese community has a role in Brazilian society, especially in the cultural and social field,” according to Costa announced after the meeting.

He said: “I was honored to meet the minister, and we look forward to activating cooperation between our two countries, with the existence of a prominent figure in this government, such as Minister Salama, who is witnessing international and diplomatic forums on his accomplishments in his duties, in addition to developing the cultural sector in Lebanon when he was Minister of Culture twenty years ago.”

He added: “We have touched on the possibility of activating more bilateral cooperation, especially since Lebanon is the only country in the Arab region that includes a cultural center for Brazil“ Guimrans Rosa ”and in it 120 students learn the Portuguese language and organizes cultural programs in various sectors (cinema, theater, artistic arts exhibitions and musical evenings) and we look forward to cooperation with the ministry, as we hope that there will be close cooperation between the national library Brazil.
