A fatal environmental violation in this region … and an urgent movement from the Ministry of Agriculture

Immediately after the complaint was received, the Minister of Agriculture Nizar Hani gave his decisive directives to those concerned in the ministry urgently, as the Department of Rural Development and Natural Resources in the North Agriculture Authority, in coordination with the forest and hunting center of Tannourine, sent an immediate patrol to the aforementioned site for field examination and to ensure the authenticity of the information.

The disclosure showed a heavy forest violation on an area of ​​about four thousand square meters, during which a large number of perennial pine trees were cut. Immediately, a quantity of the hills resulting from the operation of the unjust cutting, and organizing an official seizure report in the violation, was seized in preparation for referring it to the competent judiciary to take appropriate legal measures against the perpetrators.

In its statement, the ministry stressed that “it will not tolerate any infringement of the Lebanese forest wealth,” stressing that “the protection of forests and perennial trees falls into the core of its priorities, and the issue will be followed up until its deterrent legal end.”

The Ministry also called on citizens to continue to report any environmental violations or violations through official channels and communication platforms, confirming its full commitment to immediately responding to any information that is received in this framework.
