Hurricane struck Khakasia in eastern Russia … and wounded 32 people


The number of people injured as a result of the hurricane that struck the Republic of Khakasia in southern Russia yesterday, Saturday, to 32, according to the Regional Ministry of Health.

The ministry said in a statement via “Telegram” today, Sunday, that, according to the data of the Republican Disaster Center, he reviewed 32 people with varying severity, including one child, local health institutions.

The statement added that five people were transferred to hospitals, including one critical case.

Several regions in Siberia – they are Khakasia, the Krasnouearsk region, and the two sections of Kemerovo and Airkutsk – Saturday, a severe storm of 33 meters per second.

The bad weather led to widespread interruptions of electricity, and strong winds contributed to the spread of fires that caused the outbreak of forest fires. The Khakasia authorities announced an emergency system in the region.
