China pledges decisive measures to respond to Trump’s fees

China has pledged decisive action to defend its economy, a day after customs duties were revealed on American goods and restrictions on rare mineral export.

Chinese drawings came as a reaction to its American counterpart, which was imposed by President Donald Trump.

According to the new China News Agency (Xinhua), Beijing will continue to take “decisive measures” to protect its sovereignty, security and other interests.

On Friday, the government of Chinese President Xi Jinping announced the imposition of 34 percent fees on all imports from the United States as of April 10, in matching the level of Trump’s mutual fees on Chinese goods.

The authorities in Beijing announced several other procedures, including the imposition of immediate restrictions on the export of seven types of rare minerals. (Sky News)
