A demonstration to support Le Pen

Hundreds of people gathered in Marseille to participate in a demonstration in support of Marin Le Pen, the leader of the right -wing “National Rally” party, which was previously sentenced to the case of embezzling the European Parliament’s money.

French media reported on Saturday that Paris is also scheduled to witness a major demonstration to support Le Pen on Sunday, while the BMTV channel indicated that about 8,000 people are expected to attend Sunday.

The posters in the meeting published a slogan saying, “Support Marin, save democracy”, in reference to the ban imposed by the court on Le Pen from running in the presidential elections.

Earlier, the Paris Court of Appeal stated that it would not be able to decide on the appeals of Le Pen against the ruling against her except by the summer of 2026.

For its part, Le Pen announced on April 3 that more than 20 thousand new members joined her party after pronouncing the ruling, and the number of hindering signatures has exceeded half a million. (Russia today)
