Is the price of bread increased? The head of the Bakery Syndicate Union reveals

The head of the Union of bakery and ovens in Lebanon, Captain Nasser Sorour, called on the government to “give the file of signs in which wheat and grains are stored for a period of no less than six months of great importance.”

In an interview with the “National Information Agency”, Sorour said: “After the Beirut port explosion destroyed the ruders of grain, Lebanon no longer has a strategic stock of wheat and grains for a long time that helps it to withstand in the event of regional or international wars or conflicts, and the mills sector has become dependent on storage in its own stores and for a period not exceeding three months.”

He stressed, “The necessity of reconstructing the roughs of wheat and grains in Tripoli, Beirut and Sidon, and if possible in pictures of what enables Lebanon to withstand storms and wars, and gives it very great immunity and establishes stability in the prices of flour, bread and grains.”

He appealed to Sorour countries friendly countries and international organizations that sponsor development projects in economically exhausting countries and at the head of these countries of Iraq and the Gulf states auxiliary and contribute to building pads.

He concluded: “Neglecting the file of the groans is a catastrophe against the citizen and the homeland, because not every time the jar is delivered to the shadow of difficult circumstances and international conflicts in the world of the seas.”

As for the rise in the price of the baking bundle as it is circulated, he stressed that “there is no rise in the price of the baking bundle,” and added: “The rise and the decline in the price of bread is linked to the price of the dollar exchange and the raw materials, and currently everything is stable except for the wheat whose price has increased globally, but this rise is still acceptable and reasonable, so there is no rise in the price of the baking bundle currently unless there are no significant changes to what we mentioned.”
