A delegation from the forces presented with the Minister of Agriculture Strip Affairs


A delegation from the “Lebanese Forces” party visited the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Nizar Hani, and presented with him the most prominent challenges facing the sector and ways to get out of it. The delegation included MP Shawky Al -Dakash and head of the Agricultural Office in the “Forces” Eli Zakhour and a number of members.

The delegation assured the minister, “The necessity of protecting the agricultural sector from smuggling through illegal crossings, strictly closing and monitoring the legal crossings by preparing them with (Scanner), which contributes to restoring confidence in Lebanon and opening new markets.”

The delegation presented some of the suffering of farmers and demanded that “put solutions under implementation and the most prominent, intensify agricultural extension, and if it is possible to attract external experiences, and training in modern crops, including agriculture outside the soil.” He assured the Minister of Agriculture that “the Agriculture Office in the forces will help to establish model projects to train farmers on agriculture outside the soil with the support of the deputy Al -Dakash.” He stated that “the importance of agricultural cooperatives to develop the sector”, hoping that “the Ministry supports existing cooperatives and stimulates farmers to establish new cooperatives and light in them.”

He called for “accelerating the issue of plant cultivation that can be promising”, and stressed “activating the role of the embassies, specifically the economic attaches, to market Lebanese agricultural production after enhancing control over our exports to be a pioneer of the required conditions”, and he wished to “involve universities and research institutions in contributing to expanding experiences and assisting the workforce to develop, and the requirement to appoint a specialized engineer when requesting any license for institutions Agricultural commercial. ”

For his part, Al -Dakash suggested “organizing a conference on apples at the Holy Spirit University in Kaslik, especially since the minister is one of its graduates.”

As for Minister Hani, he expressed “every openness and cooperation for the good of farmers and agriculture,” stressing “the completion of the appointment of the body regulating the legislation.”

In conclusion, the delegation wished the minister to “be the Lebanese forces, through the Agriculture Office, a partner in contributing to any expected plan to advance the sector.”
