The massacre continues the right of forest trees in Wadi Farah

In a statement, the “Environmental Scout” Association condemned “the ongoing environmental massacre against the perennial trees in the Wadi Farah area in the Baalbek Hermel Governorate, where new cuts were documented for many of the trees of Al -Shah and Al -Lazab.”

“A new massacre is added to the previous massacres and tragedies against the remaining green Lebanon. Many rare broilers have been cut off, and these trees are exposed to disappearing if this bitter and painful reality continues to be a comprehensive and complete permissibility of national wealth.”

He added: “It seems that the exploitation and assault that a person exercises towards the environment and its natural resources arrive in a stage that cannot be tolerated, and it is no longer acceptable to leave such crimes without punishment.”

He appealed to “the ministries of agriculture and the environment and those interested in environmental affairs, to move to put an end to this recklessness, indifference, abuse and lack of responsibility, in order to preserve the remainder of Lebanon’s forest wealth.”
