On solar power panels … “Important” decision of “energy”

In a move aimed at facilitating procedures for citizens wishing to install solar panels to generate electricity for personal use with a capacity of less than 1.5 megawatts, the Minister of Energy and Water, Joe Al -Saddi, decided to exempt them from the need to obtain approval from the ministry, as he was previously applied.

This decision came based on Law 462/2002, which allows citizens to do this without the need for any permission from the ministry.

Regarding the implementation of the iron panels for solar panels, Al -Saddi pointed out that controlling these structures is not the jurisdiction of the ministry, but rather is the responsibility of the General Directorate of Civil Organization.

The minister pointed out that he had contacted the ministries of the Interior, Municipalities, Public Works and Transport to inform them about this decision.

Al -Sadd also stressed the importance of encouraging citizens to use renewable energy, which contributes to reducing financial costs and limiting the negative environmental impact.

He expressed the Ministry’s commitment to alleviate administrative procedures as much as possible, while ensuring the commitment to the laws in force, to facilitate the obtaining of citizens to the required services.
