To provide all the conditions necessary to stimulate tourism and prepare for the summer season


During his presidency, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam affirmed a meeting that included tourism ministers Laura Lahoud, the defense Major General Michel Mansi, the Interior, Brigadier Ahmed Al -Hajjar, public works and transportation, Fayez Rasamni, on the necessity of providing all the conditions necessary to stimulate tourism, and prepare for the summer season, starting to enhance security by intensifying and tightening security measures, starting from the airport and its way to the heart of the capital and an extension along the Lebanese lands.

President Salam also stressed the importance of activating the work of the tourist police and tourist inspectors. The meeting will be resumed next week to discuss the establishment of a tourist operating room.

This is preceded by a meeting with representatives of the private sector, especially with the Middle East Airlines and economic bodies, especially hotel and restaurant owners, in the presence of the Minister of Tourism and the Minister of Economy.

The Prime Minister also reviewed the Minister of Justice, Adel Nassar, on the results of the security judicial meeting held in the Ministry of Interior, in which it was decided to activate the trials and accelerate the issuance of rulings, and to take more measures appropriate to the law, to reduce the number of detainees without trial, in compliance with the government’s pledges during the discussion session session.

In turn, President Salam stressed the need to guarantee the human rights of all prisoners, especially lifting the injustice from those who have not yet been tried.

President Salam had received the secret officers of the Prime Minister, headed by Lt. Col. Muhammad Abdullah, who congratulated him on the occasion of Eid Al -Fitr.
