An Arab country that withdraws citizenship from 7 people

Egypt shot down its nationality from 7 people to naturalize them with the nationality of other countries without permission from the Minister of the Interior, as well as to join one of them with the military service of a foreign country.

The Egyptian Nationality Law states that the Council of Ministers may drop Egyptian citizenship from the naturalized person of the nationality of a foreign state without permission from the Minister of the Interior, as well as those who accept military service in a foreign country without a prior license from the Minister of Defense.

Today, Thursday, the Official Gazette published the Cabinet’s decision to drop Egyptian citizenship for 6 people after they naturalized a foreign nationality without obtaining previous permission.

The names included: Taha Muhammad Mahmoud Abdel -Wahab – born in Beni Suef on January 24, 1985. Mona Omar Mohamed Habashi – born in Cairo on June 24, 1988, Muhammad Taha Muhammad Mahmoud Abdel -Wahab – born in Qaliubiya on June 28, 2013, Omar Taha Muhammad Mahmoud Abdel -Wahab – born in Beni Suef on December 20, 2014, Hazem Taha Muhammad Mahmoud Abdel -Wahab – born on Turkey on January 27, 2019, Habiba Taha Muhammad Mahmoud Abdel -Wahab – born on Turkey on December 22.

The council also approved the overthrow of Egyptian citizenship on “Mr. Orabi Mohamed Hassan Hafez Abdel -Bar”, born in Dakahlia on March 19, 2003, in order to join military service in a foreign country without obtaining a previous license.

The Egyptian Nationality Law states that “an Egyptian may not be naturalized by a foreign nationality except after obtaining permission to do so that is issued by a decision of the Minister of the Interior, otherwise it remains a significant Egyptian in all faces and in all cases unless the cabinet decides to drop citizenship from it in accordance with the ruling of Article 16 of this law.”

It also stipulates that the cabinet is entitled to withdraw Egyptian citizenship who enjoy it in several conditions, including: if he is naturalized with a foreign nationality without permission, and if he accepts the military service to one of the foreign countries without a prior license from the Minister of Defense.
