A meeting between the President of the Maronite General Council and Nadim Gemayel centered on the municipal elections

The head of the Maronite General Council, Eng. Michel Matta, received, at the council’s headquarters, in Al -Mudawar, Representative Nadim Al -Jameel, in the presence of the members of the Council’s office.

The Maronite General Council indicated in a statement that “the meeting centered on the upcoming municipal and optional elections, where the importance of participation and the promotion of the local role of citizens in this democratic process was emphasized, stressing the need to intensify efforts to ensure effective and influential participation in the elections, in a way that serves the interest of the country and the entire Lebanese society.”

He pointed out that “the meeting was an opportunity to exchange opinions and ideas on the future of Lebanon, while emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the various parties to ensure the success of the electoral process in an atmosphere of transparency and credibility.”
