The Israeli army announced that the commander of the US Central Command, General Michael Corella, arrived in Israel on Tuesday, on an official visit during which the Chief of Staff, General Eyal Zamir.

During the visit, the two Generals held a joint symposium with the participation of a number of senior leaders in the Israeli army, during which operational and strategic issues related to the region were discussed.

The Israeli army considered that this meeting is “an additional strengthening of the close strategic relationship” between the Israeli and American armies.

The Israeli army did not disclose the visit program and whether Corella was still in or left.

On Tuesday, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that Israel has arrived in Israel and held meetings with senior security officials in Tel Aviv, including the Israeli Chief of Staff.

According to the commission, the meetings between Corella and Israeli officials continued for nearly 10 hours, pointing out that the Iranian file was among the discussions.
