It is time to reorganize our public life


MP Simon Abi Ruma’s office was issued by a statement, commenting on the invitation of the Ministry of Interior, the elected bodies regarding the municipal and optional elections, and said: “It is a positive message that the era of President Joseph Aoun begins respecting the constitutional deadlines through the invitation of the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Brigadier General Ahmed Al -Hajjar, the voter bodies to the election of municipal and optional councils starting from May 4 in Mount Lebanon Governorate. Constitutional institutions and state administrations, it is time that we reorganize our public life by electing local authorities from municipal and optional councils that re -pump the development soul in our towns and our villages.

He continued: “Based on these data, and in harmony with my natural behavior and literature in dealing with the people of Jbeil, I would like to emphasize that I will not interfere in these elections, neither suggestion nor cloud nor mortar, as they are elections that have a future social development nature. Competition is between programs and projects to revive our villages away from partisan affiliations and political loyalties.”

He concluded: “From this moment, I announced my absolute respect for the options of democratic voters and congratulate the winners in advance with my promise that I be alongside the elected authorities in order to contribute to the development of the towns and villages of Jbeil. This is my covenant, this is my promise.”
