In a new step towards strengthening security and military cooperation between Lebanon and Syria, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted a meeting in Jeddah last Thursday, the Lebanese Minister of Defense, Michel Mansi, and his Syrian counterpart, Major General Muhdaf Abu Qasra, gathered, and the two ministers signed an agreement to demarcate the borders between the two countries, and to activate coordination mechanisms between the two sides to deal with security and military challenges on the border.

At first glance, it seems positive, and a great development to perpetuate stability and enhance the channels of dialogue between Beirut and Damascus, but what was reported by some media outlets is concerned and suspicious about the possibility of a secret agreement between the two ministers and with American blessing on the identity of the Shebaa Farms.
