The trial continues .. Maradona’s heart was enlarged and suffered a liver

Without the presence of alcohol or drugs in his body at the time of his death

Forensic experts who participated in the autopsy of the late football legend Diego Maradona confirmed that his heart was greater than the normal size, and that he was suffering from cirrhosis in the liver, without the presence of alcohol or drugs in his body at the time of his death.

These experts spoke in a court session in Buenos Aires, and Alejandro Ezikil said that Maradona’s heart was “amplified”, with a weight of 503 grams, while the normal weight of the heart ranged between 250 and 300 grams, and was also suffering from “a chronic shortage of blood and oxygen.”

Maradona, who led Argentina to the World Cup in 1986, died in November 2020, inside his home in the outskirts of Buenos Lees, at the age of 60, just days after undergoing surgery to remove a bloody gathering between the skull and the brain..
